I've been scouring the net but can't seem to find the recommended tyre pressure for 18's. Everyone says different pressures. I don't have it on my fuel cap as my car came with 16 inch alloys and the highest my fuel cap goes up to is 17's.

Can anyone tell me what the recommended tyre pressure is please? Thanks.

I've been told to keep it 32 psi all around by my Dad and a guy who works at a tyre place. I first kept to the sticker so I had them like 37 front 35 back to compensate the size difference from 16-17 inch.

I read 32psi is way too low for low profile tyres such as the 225/40/18

I've been running mine at 36/34 but I don't know whether it's too high or too low, and as you can tell everyone runs different psi lol

It depends upon the engine I believe, as a 2.0 tdi is heavier than a 2.0tfsi for example.

Mine is a 2.0tdi and for a 225 40 18 the tyre pressures are 38 front, 35 rear.

I'll upload a pic of my fuel cap in a bit

I have a A3 Sport back with 225/40/18 tyres and most of the time it's only me in the car so use 36 psi in the fronts and 34 psi in the rears. The tyre tread wear is pretty even across the tyre so I'm sticking with these pressures.

That's the exact same pressures which I use, but never knew if it was correct

Personally I trust Autodata, here's what it shows for 2.0tdi BKD:

So recommended is 39/35. I'm going to try it next time see what it's like

Make sure it's same engine and gearbox as your car though. Mine are higher than that because the diesel engine plus DSG box weigh more.

I use 38 in the fronts and 36 in the rears.

I used 36/34 yesterday and I actually like how it feels. Mine is a Diesel engine so similar weight
