What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

I didn't get the car in the end... It was to good to break to be honest, so the guy decided to fix it himself after all. So even though i had first refusal, that didn't even happen as he pulled away from the market. And to be fair that was the best thing he could have done. A shame for me but if another one pops up i'll pull the trigger on buying faster.

Had a nice drive out to Cambridge today and acquired a nice set of 19” Audi Rotas ready to go off for a refurbishment session.
The old bus went well and there were a few B7's out and about.

May do a test fit/road test later just to see if there is any change in the shakey shakey ...lol

hoping they clear the Brembos too so I can ditch the spacers.

@Charlie Farley nice wheels... I'd have them done in either high gloss black or gunmetal grey as those 2 colours work best on black cars. With gunmetal being more subtle... i'd go gloss black though.

Just spent a while giving the Rota’s a good clean , they look nice, but will be much better once refinished.
Going fit and try and see what occurs .
Will need to order new centre caps too.
I was going to swap my current tyres onto these but the rain sports are very good and almost new.

Well they fit so that’s a bonus.
Still won’t clear the caliper so won’t be loosing the spacers just yet.
Colour, not sure , looks nice but a lighter shade of gray maybe .

Yeah as I said I'd go gloss black but keep the outer rim and that notch end of the spokes in a contrasting wheel silver... it'll work even better.

bought me some s-line type sport pedals, and a LHD footrest that i can modify to fix onto the oem RHD footrest in the same style as the pedals... took me a while to find a set that was just a straight shape that can be modified to look like an oem matching one for the s-line pedals in RHD. just waiting for a week for it to be delivered. but once i have it i can stick the template for the RHD footrest on it and modify it to fit. yes i could have gone for the s4/ rs4 footrest but the pedals do not match and that does my head in... also since i got flappy pedals i got me some extensions for them, just because it looks better than the simple almost hidden pedals.

hope you metioned you want a contrasting wheel silver on the flat parts... other than that it'll work as i said on a black car either high gloss black or gunmetal for those rotor wheels... and since they look bigger than they actually are it will make a big difference in the overall look once you've got them on.

Do you have a photo or link to the pedal set northpole?

I thought you were getting that USA tune.
I received the cable etc but was really stung for import fees .
I’ve noticed they take forever to reply so decided to cut my losses with the cable and get it done on a custom tune and dyno.
Not cheap but at least it will be done professionally, and , if it goes tits up I can hold them accountable.

For some reason, I thought I'd chosen Audi gloss gunmetal, but it is in fact called Audi carbon charcoal.
Looks nice in the flesh.
this is the last set of Rota's they did in that colour. :yahoo:

Audi carbon charcoal gloss finish, be ready to collect on Friday morning.
Also, a new set of centre caps is arriving tomorrow.:icon thumright:

may keep my current 19" lemans for backups, or just let them go with the nearly new tyres, open to sensible offers if anyone is interested.

Now, I need to sort out the 18z caliper paint and refurb, or I may just go with 8 pots and be done with it, the 18z's will sell on without any problem if priced right, and they have brand new pads.
I seem to recall that the RS 8 pots will work with the 345mm Diameter discs , if so that will be a bonus.
Then probably return to the S4 rear update.

£15.72 | Car Pedals for Audi A4 B9 A5 F5 2016 - 2023 LHD Sedan Avant Sport Gas Brake Foot Rest Pedal Cover Stainless Steel Accessories

It's all about the footrest being rectangular and wide enough to adapt to the one we have in the car. As I said the style is the same as the s-line pedals. Ot just means cutting it to size and get some 3m double-sided extra strong backing to stick it to the oem footrest once the shape is right and the sharp bits are filed down.

Nothing spectacular to report; the tyres and eBay refurbed wheels are now on, and they have been really great. Big trip down and round Cornwall with the Girl; new discs, callipers, wheels and Pirellis made it an absolute joy, cruising around, whilst making very smart progress sometimes; the pics don't do justice and when the car is really really clean they look fab.. Just exceeded the 6K miles, so it's in for a full service tomorrow. I have a great guy now, who picks up and drops off. The only thing left now is a bush, spring and shock refresh on the suspension; though I have no squeaks, rattles or anything, and she springs fine.

Very tidy Tourer...and those Ronals look perfecto! :salute:
Are the centre caps genuine? They look nice in black, I'd be tempted to treat myself....just not sure how well they'd go with Quartz grey body colour.
My current ones are grey, but perhaps a little tired now. Genuine ones seem to be silly money for what they are.

I have those but they have the extra chrome ring around the full outer edge, but since my car is almost completely blacked out, i decided to cover them in satin black. they just didn't fit the chromeless theme. Mine are the oem ones, but found the same oem ones on Aliexpress going for pennies and they are the same sets sold here in the UK (Amazon, eBay and a few other online shops) for 4 times the actual price.

So if you want to replace them, I suggest you look there and order yourself a set, just make sure you measure one of them first so you order the right size.

Thanks Rob and Matt!

I believe they are genuine (https://www.audipartsdirect.co.uk/wheels/centre-caps/), but they came with the wheels. The grey ones were OEM with these Ronals though, I also believe. You can get them a lot cheaper though from elsewhere, as Northpole suggests: https://shorturl.at/Wmsml

and they get them made in China anyway, so the quality is the same. i had a set of OEM rs4 b5 wheels on my mk3 vr6 and lost one of the center wheelcaps.. once o heard the price from Audi, i went online for a cheaper version...found a Chinese made one and as it was just 4 euro's (incl, vat and send costs) I opted for that instead... and to be fair even next to the real center caps they were exactly the same and fitted perfectly. So well infact i kept the wheels, they moved with me to the UK, and eventually sold them years later to a friend that still has them in his garage. As he sold the A6 he put them on, but he sold the A6 with the original a6 wheels. I was trying to buy them back but he doesn't want to sell them.

Just had the set of centre caps for the rotas delivered.
Not OE but seem just as good.
Once fitted you’d never know.

They are copies the 6 in the partnumber is wrong... that's done on purpose by the way. But that is exactly how my oem ones are.. except for the 6.

They look fine, a lot better than a lot I've seen and as long as they fit without issues then that is all that really matters. :icon thumright:

Only joking , I love them.
Was hoping to fit today but the centre caps are too small, allways something.

i just think they lack the offset of the 2 tone but for a single colour they look the business although i prefer them like in black(see my previous reply) especially on black cars
