what sort of issue is it when cold?

CVT, that says it all then., I think a rubber band would be better.
If you've done all you can with no improvement it's time to think about a complete overhaul ( silly expensive) or a good used replacment.

Any suggestions before I take the rubber band apart?

I don't other than be careful and make a note of everything.
best of luck.

Just thought, isn't there a filter in the gearbox that is replaceable, I may be wrong but I seem to recall it being mentioned before.

Some early Boxsters suffered from Tiptronic box gear changing issues that were down to the filter needing replacement .

One thing that worries me about mine as well as the injectors ,been speaking to dark side amongst others about it
Bit out of my skill set servicing an auto box and the dark arts they contain

Hi, when you refit your bumper do you tighten the 2 nuts each side in the wings, before or after you set your bumper hight.

From today I've shelved any additional car purchases in our household, well ones that get driven on any sort of regularity.
TT has gone as I just wasn't using it as much as planned.
Also slashing how much I use the old bus weekly.
I've never really put my foot down on fuel cost as it's one of those things you just need to run a car, but with fuel cost very likely to hit £2.00 per litre very soon and higher not far away, I'm just not being held to Ransome with the prices.
My Quattro bus has a 63-litre tank ( 2wd have 70-litre tanks), that's going to be £126.00 to fill up the tank, so I'll be doing only the minimum miles at that cost.

Motoring cost's for Joe average using petrol or diesel are going to become major factor in household budgets very quickly, and it's going to hurt incomes.

Yes I agree, we are being shafted by the fuel companies, even in the pandemic they claimed they had plenty of fuel in reserve
but soon as the oil price changes, the fuel goes up strait away, never mine the reserves.
We will be hit in April by another car tax hike by the DVLA, it's time the motorist start to demonstrate, Instead of just taking it.
And as for that ***** London Mayor with his ULEZ, we are all screwed, just money making schemes.

You should come live here for a few months and drive the quattro. Price for 95 unleaded gas is around 1.17£. The average salary is 750£. You do the math! The whole country is running electric cars these days, so the government decided to raise electricity prices. So now I have to deal with high fuel prices, and high electricity bills!!

I'm contemplating going back to 19" le mans, or redoing my OZ's in platinum silver.
Graphite and similar colours are great when clean but when even a bit mucky they look terrible.

The 19" le mans were nice.

Had to bite the bullet and fill up the old bus this evening as it was on about 5miles range left...
filled up with super jungle juice and then swiftly lightened my wallet by a large amount...
Anyway, I don't plan on making any more fuel stops for now for at least a month or more if possible, well that is the plan.
Whether the old bus actually does 380 miles on a full tank is open to debate.

Nice Rob

Where did you source it from?

Love mine but it's kept it from my very first B7 which isn't chrome. Did you buy new or used?

Thanks
