What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Not today but i've just remembered.
I had the RS4 gearknob dipped at the same time as the fbsw trims, totally forgot about it until just now.
It needs new punched leather as the alcantatra is shot.
Not sure whether to fit it or not now.

You need to keep doing bits Richard or you'll loose interest in it which would be a real shame.
Would be nice to see that grille on etc, maybe have a meetup over at fairoaks soon.
Hi Rob, Yes will press on with the car, still no luck on a HFC so I guess speak to my friendly Mot man if he will pass again,
Yes we could meet up soon, that would be good and have a coffee maybe.

i've been looking for a bit of dust or dirt in your pics and can't see any, that's a really clean car, the footrest is spotless.
truly a pampered B7.
Rob, you obviously weren't looking very hard. It's pretty obvious to me he doesn't clean his car very well.

I haven’t got one… I’ve only got rear sensors which have a mind of there own, they only seem to work when it’s raining these days.
Since discovering the card/ coin tray I’m increasingly finding the blanks quite irritating, looking forward to this simple little mod

Am i the only person with the parking sensor switch then....
You wouldn't have that problem if you didn't have the cup holder. Get the US specs center console with the cup holders so you can replace the one with a card holder.

Any pics of the US centre console?

I have never used the cup holder, I think I’ve opened it twice by accident over the last 7 or so years

If you don't need it and really need the card holder than you can just replace it.

Interesting, never saw that console before. Proper cup holders too. I don't drink often in my car but the factory EU cup holder is a filmsy joke.

The amount of them I've have to either extensively clean or outright fix because they break easily is a joke

I never realized your European models don't have cup holders there. The second cup holder spot in the center console is terribly placed it you want to put a second cup in there. I never, or try to never use it if I don't have to.

Same as the b8, two cup holders but when they're both occupied using the arm rest becomes a pain. I use mine as a phone holder as it just fits in there on it's edge and the cup holder tabs keep it in place.

Decided to utilize another one of my alpine HU's functions, the rear view camera.
It seems Alpine do a model specific kit for the B7 , so i've ordered one up this evening, just need to organise the appropiate alpine cam.

MOT passed for another year.
Rear brake pads were worn unevenly (the outer was fine) so they changed both discs and pads. Wished I'd have realised before, I'd have done it myself at home.
I'm well Impressed that a 13 yr old car fails on just "consumables".

Great little mod these cameras… Find the rear camera perfect for parking in very tight spaces. You also realise how conservative the parking sensors are

All this talk about cup holders… been doing this for years without a spill. Perks of no arm rest I guess

When I was in gloss black mode, some time ago now, still like it though but has to be with silver rings for me.

Made the decision over the weekend to sell my TT,it's a nice car and goes like stink but I'm just not using it.
It was a good idea at the time but things have changed direction a bit so I'd rather let it go before it becomes a money pit, which I suspect it will at some point.

Yes thought so, genuine?

I gave up looking for one tbh

Yes mate ,guess I got lucky with eBay timing ,it wasn’t set up as an auction just set price with free delivery,i low balled him a little with the offer of cash and I would collect next morning ( it was 25 miles from me )
Swapped my sline frame and plate holder as I’d just had them refurbed.Happy days

your RS4 grille fits better than the ones fitted to the DTM, always looked like the gap between the bonnet & top of the grille wasn't right to me..

Not sure if you meant mine but I did have to adjust the bumper mounts a touch to get it right. This was my first effort

RS4 Grill is the only mod left I think I want to do.

Just unsure how good it's going look in Black against Avus Silver to justify it

The Alpine rear tailgate switch/camera assembly arrived today and it is a really good quality kit, better than expected to be honest.
Just waiting for the HCE-C1100D alpine camera kit to arrive tomorrow, a nice straightforward project for the weekend. :yahoo: :thumbs up:
