Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted on here. Since the weather got colder in early December I have noticed a heavy clicking noise coming from the engine bay when I turn off the ignition. The clicking seems to go on for longer if I've been on a longer journey but it will make the noise every time I turn off the ignition. This will happen even if I don't fire up the engine.

Has anyone come across this before?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi,

No it's coming from under the bonnet

Sounds like a relay not deciding what to do. Stethescope time, you need to narrow it down a bit.

Just to let you all know in case anyone has the same problem, it was the EGR valve opening and closing continuously when the ignition turned off. There's no reason why it would do it but it's doing no harm so no need to replace just yet!
