Hi!

I've been reading a ton of threads re. clutches in the 8L forum, and although I didn't want to "pollute" the board with more clutch discussion, I do have a very brief, specific question that I didn't find.

Does anyone have the part numbers for a 2001 S3? I'm looking at the full kit plus flywheel, all OEM although I wouldn't mind getting that fancy Sachs plate that seems to be such a great choice (currently stock, but it doesn't hurt to plan ahead).

I'm terrible at browsing partsbase.org, and the thing is, where I live, the S3 8L wasn't ever officially introduced, so besides mine and a handful others, there's only A3 8L's. This means my only chances are ordering a clutch kit from abroad, so I'm putting everything together on my ebay shopping cart.

Now, although I'd love to just reach the places mentioned like Badger5, my best shot at having the parts delivered to my country before my current clutch dies is, for logistic reasons, getting the kit from the US. Of course, they don't have the 8L at all, so I guess maybe TT225 Quattro's parts might be useful (which I might even find here, as we do have plenty of those), but I'd rather play safer than just guessing, which brings to this.

If it's too much hassle, then maybe just pointing me to the right page in partsbase will do.

Thanks to whoever may help!

I got this LUK flywheel from the US when I did mine - part no. DMF032, they are very reasonably priced from the US. I then source the rest of the clutch kit (LUK) from Euro Car Parts in UK. I have a BAM S3.

That's exactly the one in my shopping cart. Flywheel... check!

There are two different LUK flywheels for the 8L S3 make sure you get the right one.

yep both dual mass, i rang euro car parts & they told me which one to get based on the chassis number.

Check the eurocarparts website, i dont know what the difference is.

Damn! My car was built for the Japanese market, with stock left hand steering... hope it's not odd enough to make an issue of finding the right part. I'm searching the info right now, although it's in German, which I can just barely understand.
