hey guy. As the thread title say, my door puddle and red door lights have become intermittent at working. I did have a issue with the dash drivers door open warning light staying on mainly when the passenger door was open but I seemed to have cured that by spraying WD-40 on the drivers door lock.
Ive noticed that my battery seems to be draining and just wondered if its linked to my drivers door.?
Its not my alternator as ive run a volt test on it and im getting 12v without engine running and over 14v when I start the engine.

Im at a loss now.

At a guess i would say one of your microswitches on the door may be ********. Not actually sure exactly what to loom for tbh, one of mine has been stuck (off thankfully) for years and i've not got around to sorting it

Thanks for the reply. Ive got a feeling its the drivers side one.

Just thought would that be the cause of the battery drain?

If the microswitch is stuck to the door open position (if possible) then it could have your puddle lights on even if the door is closed. At least in theory anyways, im not really sure how it's all wired up etc but it's free to check it out
