Bought my Audi A3 2.0 140 56 plate last night, it has 82k on 10 service stamps.
I go over 80mph and it goes into limp mode.
Any ideas please?

Where can I take it and how much would it cost?Turbo is probably overboosting, needs to be removed and vanes cleaned
Between Scunthorpe & Gainsborough.Whereabouts are you located?
You'll need more than a spanner to do that job, exhaust/cat of, all intake system, egr, imf, oil feed pipe, turbo of rear of head, etc, then splitting the turbo is fun alone.
PM me as I offer this service to clients.

Totally agree!I didn't want him to end up with a bigger problem lol, no offence danny![]()
I have to use my car daily, can I still use it or does this need to be done urgently? Or shall I just not rag the carI didn't want to frighten him lol![]()
I had no warning lights come on, I will check the pipes!Mine did this last week, 2005 140 TDi Sportback. Mine was making a loud sucking noise when accelerating to near 2000 revs or more, if I drove it like an old person it was fine but just lacked power, this is after a visit to a garage who found a broken clip on the inter cooler pipe.
Then on A1, after over taking the car seemed to loose all power, engine management light came on also. Another trip to the garage and got the car back today it was a faulty MAF sensor, they replaced it and car is back to normal.
It's booked in on Monday for them to look at it, surely at the worst it will just need a new turbo? If you only bought it last night....take it back! Irrespective of whether you got it from a dealer/private, unless they made you aware of that fault prior to purchase.....it was sold to you unfit for purpose.

Yeah that's it, could that cause it to go into limp mode?Looks like oil from intercooler piping

Right okayA little oil is normal i think. The limp mode will be because of carbon buildup in the vanes of the turbo.
