Evening! So i have a horrible line of oaint bubbling under my rear number plate and also noticed under one of the front wings!iv done alot of searchin and seems audi arnt to keen to solve these problems. Iv emaild them anyway to see what they say.
Doe any one have any tips on the right things to say to them? I guess ill have to pay a shop to sand and respray before it gets worse?!

Fingers crossed with audi tho

My last one had the same problem with the wings, it was never dealer serviced, so the paint warranty was void.
It needs to be serviced by Audi and the paint inspected before they will even talk about it.
10 year anti corrosion warranty is a load of bo11ocks....!
It shouldn't be an expensive fix for a decent paint shop, if it comes to that.

Probably best forgetting about it and going straight to a body shop then!!

No, it's always worth giving it a try first, you never know.
Both of my bumpers are flaking lacquer in sheets and it has been in to the local dealer recently, they didn't crack a light about it and it is a well known problem.
Bubbling paint is different, they should be tackled about that.

Good luck.

My 08 Has terrible lacquer peel, black car too so it's shows up so badly.

What's the best thing to do? Expensive fix?

Mine's got paint bubblng on the wing, serviced it with audi a few times but not every year. When I brought it up at my local dealership they did not want to know and tried to blame it on damage from stone chipping... Yeah, right... Does not seem to affect non-VAG cars.

I'm waiting for prices at the moment. I can remove the bumpers to keep the price down but, so far, the two I have asked have let me down.
The car is my daily drive, so it needs to be done over a weekend.
I'll keep you posted on what happens.

Thanks mate, hope it's not too expensive. What a ball ache though!

I emailed my local dealer yesterday, heard nothing back today!!i kind of expected no reply! Surely no painted car under 10 years should have blistering paint work?!obviously a fault somewhere in the paint process! Ill call them tomorow but from reading different comments on the forum its going to be a very hard task to get then to sort it!!
