Door Blades

Hi all.

My S3 had the dreaded door blade pulling away from the door problem when I bought it. I bit the bullet and bought 2 new blades (£234 each OUCH!)

Anyhow, I used the parts numbers that were stamped on the original blades to ensure I got exactly the same blades.

If anyone's interested, the part numbers were - 8L7 853 959 GRU & 8L7 853 960 GRU

Problem being, they are a slightly different colour. I'm aware that age will play an issue here but does anyone know if they were painted or lacquered from factory?



The difference is much more pronounced that the photo suggests.

Give them a quick rub down, and spray them. Did mine satin black.

Spray or wrap them, thats what a lot of people are doing now.

TPS are ordering another set (there was 2 different part numbers) to see whether they turn up any different.

Ive just spent a small fortune on them so would rather they were right. Spraying will be a final resort.

We'll see.
