24JSeymour Sprint Blue S3 Project Thread

So the s3 will be sold? Or kept as a toy?

If i can find something that does as good of a job then sadly I will be selling the S3 at some point (mid2017) to make way for something else AWD+boost+paddles as my "sensible daily" which really isn't a daily at all haha! I have a works transit van for that.
The S3 gets drove on weekends and the odd week night and when its raining.
i have a turbo mx5 and a motorbike as my "toy" which only come out in the sun

Well its been a fun 18 months ownership of the S3 but my time has been cut short with it unfortunately. Id of liked to of kept it till next summer but after the Nurburgring i had truly fallen for E92 M3's they are just such a composed car and one popped up for sale last week at the right price and the perfect spec so i felt I couldn't miss out on it or i may never find another one the same. On the bright side of things ive got a few parts for sale of the S3 if anyone is intrested in anything send me a PM

This reads like one of those 'baby forces sale' adverts, apart from the M3 :)

Judging by the amount of M3s on the ring last week, you've made the right choice.

I really do like these M3s, they are as you said very composed. I like the E93 330d a lot, so the M3 must be even better! Love the colour too. Just noticed the steering wheel. Is there some kind of display on there?

There is, its the bmw V2 performance wheel so it had the shift lights built into it and has hidden buttons and you can view oil/coolant temp and also has a lap timer and G-force meter built in to it! Its pretty cool haha!

I used to have an E92 M3 but in all honesty I preferred my previous 4 E46 M3's , the V8 is good but for everyday driving it is a bit too slow for me , it really needs to be driven hard to get decent results and everyday driving is not like that , my 400 bhp 335i was far better , enjoy it though on the track as that's where it really belongs imo .

@24JSeymour stunning m3, very rare colour.

It seems to be, ive never seen another one before in person when looking for one it had to be either in this santorini blue or dakar yellow, all the other colours dont really stand out as an M car just look like an ordinary 3 series haha

Hi mate, Tim here from nutz forum (met at croft also red turbo), found this thread randomly having just bought an s3 last week only to read you have bought the car that was just out of my reach but ultimately where I want to be (e92 m3) in the right colour. All I can say is you have good taste and the cars are a credit to you!

Keen on the 19s and the exhaust but can't do both at the moment, did the 19s rub at all?

Hi mate, ive been quite on nutz for some time now, but just last week i have bought a torsen 3.6 diff, just looking for a 6 speed now then time to forge the engine.

The 19's never rubbed at all once i had fitted the stiffer ARB's I suppose it depends how low you run the car also, I washed them off at work the other day with heated pressure wash and the paint never liked it.... So ive dropped the price on these to £480 now but they need painting ideally
Youd be welcome to come test fit them

The exhaust has now sold im affraid

OK, is it the original paint or just the plastidip? Where are you? can you PM me your address I might be able to pop over later today if your about? Gutted about exhaust :) you still got the short shift and bushes?
