Hi all.
I am starting this thread to tel everyone about my DSG tuning Experience with TVS Engineering and Dsg-Dokter.nl

They are the new (for us anyway) DSG sw specialist.
After much reading on what they are capable of doing with the DSG sw and tuning I have payed a deposit on there programming tool bundle.

For now I only have received the box, but will start the flashing and logging soon.

That's a lot of kit to map the gearbox! hopefully they gave you a big list of instructions to go with it :readit:

Lol. I know but this is not only for my DQ250 box. I have now the power to flash al DSG boxes from VAG.
The instructions and sw is pretty strait forward.
TVS is providing good support too.
I'll start the work on Thursday. Fingers X'ed.

Right! Let's sum up the experience...
The car is finally mapped with the TVS Engineering / Dsg-Dokter.nl TCU flash.

Wow. The car have just transformed completely. I came from APR TCU flash. Where the car performed good on tracks and I didn't have any slip. The daily driving was some how jurkey...

Dirk @tvs was great and gave me full support during the hole process.
I tried there v1 sw for best performance and economy. But that was to lazy for my liking. Who cares about fuel economy on a race car anyway. Right?

So sw v2 was tested and choosen. And wow the car is driving good. So smooth on city cruise and snappy on acceleration. In "S" mode the gear change is more adapted to torque curve.
"M" is fully manual with no auto up/down shifts.

Many of there special features was (claimed by APR) also on my previous flash. But did not work that god.

My burp is also back again and the car does not bog down during gear change on acceleration or wot. Perfect I just love it...

Dirk also recommend to test out the LC. Have tried it maby 2-3 times before, I listen to him with mixed feelings. Below you can see the 0-100km/h time. This was done on the free way with no traffic and small uphill. You should have seen my face. LOL

This is my experience so far. I can recommend this flash to all DSG / S-tronic cars. Stock or mapped. TVS now what they are doing. They also make a sw update to the latest know sw version to.

Great work.

I'm keeping a watch on all of this for when I get to the DSG swap on my car.

That's being priced up but needs some discussion between Storm,Syvecs and me as the ECU can also run DSG.
 
How much does the programming kit cost?

DQ250 – K03Most DQ250 files have a torque limiter set around 350Nm, never lower. With a K03 we can manage
460Nm, but normally 420Nm is the max. With a soft tuning program the max torque is about 340Nm. Due
the K03 flow characteristics the max RPM in both D and S is decreased.

Most DQ250 files have a torque limiter set around 350Nm, never lower. With a K04 we can manage
500Nm, but normally 460Nm is the max. Due the K04 flow characteristics the max RPM is raised to 7000.

manage over 520Nm on stock clutch. Max RPM full on request, depending on setup.

- Less unwanted downshift on light acceleration

Nice one! Those guys know what they're doing, I'm super impressed with the map they gave me . They're going to be collecting mine this time for a racing clutch and a slight revision to the DSG file.

I have officially destroyed clutch 1,3 & 5 as TVS told me I would so I need the racing clutch pack and a slightly less aggressive map.

Let them install the LSD at the same time. Thats what I was planning to do if I was driving down to them...

I'd be very keen to hear what your choice of clutch packs is,as I'll be needing something heroic for mine when we get around to this conversion.

The engine is currently turning out 540lbs or over 700Nm,so I'm very happy for you to be the clutch pack guinea pig!

Tok the car out for a quick spin today. Can't believe how smooth it is now. Even the start/take off is smooth.
I am supper happy with this.... To all planing a DSG flash from TVS wait no more. This is real and a top product.

Right. On the v4 file.
Hats off to Dirk @tvs Engineering. What a great guy. His is really service minded and want stop helping before you /I am 100% satisfied.
v3 file was great and super smooth on stop and take offs. Also gear changes works well.
My problems with the APR sw was that during up shifts in "D" mode the Rev and clutch clamping did not match at all during cruise and city driving. The Rev needle was jumping badly.
This was almost perfect from TVS but I asked Dirk if changes from 2nd to 3rd. And 3rd to 4th could be a bit adjusted.
Hi again as always sent me v4 file and I can say now we are beyond OEM quality.
The car really feels like it's floating on air.
I hardly feel the gear changes.
This is even with the HPA puck bushing under the gear box installed.
I am so happy with TVS Engineering that I am thinking of taking the driver down to them from Norway and have them install a LSD and a performance clutch pack later on if necessarily.

For you all DSG & S-tronic drivers out there. Just Do it!
