yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Aberdeen Audi must be reading this, just had a call to confirm my car will be ready for collection next Friday - so 3 weeks ahead of schedule! Happy days :grin:

Emailed the dealer to check all was OK so I can go in and sort paperwork out soon and get reg transfer done and he has said it's at Emden awaiting shipping!!! Still can't collect until November though so got a couple of weeks left yet.

Out of interest, how long did you wait from build week until collection?

My buildweek has came forward another week to the 9th of November (4 weeks total now), so hoping for a late november / first week of december pick up but not sure if this is a bit ambitious.
 
I would have thought 4 weeks from BW is doable certainly has been on the last few Audi's I have had.
 
Hopefully so! Was more interested to see if things were slower to process and to get to Aberdeen compared to other dealers etc.
 
would have thought it would be around the same to be honest. I think they use about 3 ports in the UK depending on where dealers are?

My build week was 41, but the process seemed to kick off a week earlier - here's my status dates.

10 (Order received): 16/09
20 (Prep): 20/09
21 (Panel shop): 01/10
22 (Paint shop): 02/10
23 (Assembly): 03/10
24 (QC): 05/10 (My actual BW start date, it still stated this as the BW in yourAudi)
30 (In Transit - Your Audi has left Brussels) 08/10
38 (In Transit - Your Audi has left Brussels (at Port in Germany)) 10/10
39 (In Transit - Your Audi is in the UK (at Port in Tyneside)) 14/10
40 (In Transit - Your Audi is on it's way to Aberdeen Audi (Ready to move)) 16/10

Dealer told me that the earliest they could have it ready for collection is next Wednesday (21st), so I'd guess it'll get to them by Monday. Unfortunately for me my salesman finishes early on Wednesday so I can't collect after work, and he's off on Thursdays!

So from official BW start to earliest collection date is 16 days. I'm not sure if cars being build at Ingolstadt would be different, I was under the impression it took the A1 longer to arrive since it is built in Belgium, but mine seems to have moved quite quickly. First week in December seems quite feasible for you!

Ordered my S3 saloon two weeks ago, first it said January 3rd construction date, now its been brought forward to November 23rd construction date. It was nice to see that.

Just been to the dealer and car has been released for shipping around 2 weeks to go hopefully!
 
Just checked my car for the first time...it's saying build week to start is January 4th...now I know this can come forward..but at worst if build starts on that day...when can u expect collection?
 
It's generally around 3 to 4 weeks from build week until it's ready for collection.
We had an A3 for someone at work and that was delivered 3 weeks after build week and my S5 (if no delays with shipping and transport to dealer) will be 3 weeks too.
 
Cheers...I'm gonna book the beginning of Feb of then in work so I can spend some time with my new car!!!gonna book her in for a new car detail with my usual detail guy aswell

I booking the day off when mine comes so I can get the interior lights changed to led ones and hopefully get my 034Motorsport transmission mount on and all my music sorted!
 
Looking at my car order on here..it doesn't show any of my spec..is this right or should I contact my dealer?
 
yeah mine didn't show any at all until it went to the build stage and then each option was in the relevant section.
 
My order was placed today,put my details into the system including the order number,but nothing comes up yet
How soon after the order has gone in does it go live?
 
I have tried entering my order number and postcode but it doesn't recognise the order. I ordered in August (build week confirmed as next week wk47) however still not in the system 'youraudi'? I raised this with Cus Services and got a call earlier, who couldn't help other than pass us to the dealers. All details confirmed correct and was told that 'maybe it doesn't show up until it starts in build?' not really re-assuring, but as said build week is now confirmed according to dealers...!
 
Unfortunately CS are not that helpful and didn't seem to know much about the tracker when I phoned them. All they did say was the details online had to match exactly what the dealer has entered. I found a couple of things wrong and it worked a couple of days later.
Definitely works before build week as mine worked about 2 weeks after ordering which was July.

Also WK47 should be mid November.

So after ordering in early July I have finally got my build week... 45

I have spoken to the dealer (Blades Cheltenham) and they have assured me it is sue into the dealer on the 23rd Nov (on schedule) and Ill have it by the 1st December. I'd better! My last car goes back the following week.

The really good news is that as I ordered the Tech packed the spec has changed, it now comes with AudiConnect.

Result.

Mine has left factory 2 days ago so hopefully at Emden soon . I reckon on picking up 21st Nov.
Spec still only showing the standard , and no stronic . Not bothered as I know this is often wrong . As long as it all present and correct when I pick it up....

It's been a long wait. I know it's going to be worth it, and it's comforting to know that Audi are actually building my car bespokely for me.

The ironic thing is my colleague ordered his Q7 at the same time as me, before they were even fully announced and before you could even see one, yet he got his vehicle 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, I'm so exited and it will be the best birthday present ever.

A couple of other guys ordered their S5's around September time and theirs look to be only a couple of weeks behind mine!

No worries it's good for you, plus to be honest gave me more time to save, but this last 'stint' for me is the hardest!
 
Yea I can imagine...I'm bitter that Andy seems to be a week ahead of me despite ordering about 2 weeks after...cant imagine how peeved you were!

I was OK while I still had my A5, but now thats gone the wait is pretty agonising!

Yeah I don't mind so much my dealer told me around end of October time anyway so I was always expecting a long ish wait. Should be about 2 weeks to go plus I am away this weekend and next weekend, got the world cup final to look forward to even though England aren't in it cos they were rubbish, so passes some of the time.

At least you sold the A5 though so you don't need to worry about it now, but it is hard, I am sure it will make you appreciate the S5 even more.
 
I have also also sold my a3 three weeks ago. So looking forward to the S3.
Seems to have updated spec today.
Not 100% correct as not showing the comfort pack , but is showing the cruise and parking assist upgrades. Also showing steering wheel with paddles . So s tronic in place.
Still showing electric seats that did not order. I suspect that is a standard spec item that gets taken off of uk spec cars..
 
yeah I thought all my spec was there but then realised that tech pack wasn't showing but it shows advanced parking system which is only available with tech pack so sure it should be there.
 
How far along in your order did you start to see your vehicle spec...as my isn't being built until Jan 6th so will it not show up till after this date?
 
For anyone interested, I collected my A1 yesterday! 18 days from build week start to collection :grinning:

I have my SLine being delivered on Thursday 29th, ordered late August with various options. Hoping it's going to fault free.
 
Ordered an S3 Sportback and it's scheduled for a 23rd November build on yourAudi. The dealer is saying I won't receive it until mid to late January due to the Christmas shutdown.

Anyone have a similar build week last year ? Did you get the car before Christmas ?
