first cambelt change

hi all
just had the first cambelt /water pump/serpentine belt done on my 2011 2.0tdi
at 105,675 miles with audi grand total £580. got the old belt and it still looks fine no cracks ect.
had different advise from audi when i rang round as to when it should be changed, some say 70,000 or 5 years
one said 114,000 or 5 years. they seem to keep changing the goal posts

I know on my car (2009 2.0TDi 170 CR) the original recommendation was 120,000 which was then reviewed and lowered (I don't know to what). But I wouldn't risk an engine for the sake of £500. I do mine every 60,000 or 5 years whichever comes first

i think its all down to how the cars been used mine are all motorway miles. at least its done for piece of mind

Mine too are motorway miles, it is an ex-company car...I still wouldn't risk it. These days the belts are so strong the idler or tensioner will fail before the belt does.
