Help guys!

Wasn't happy with the car's power, so took it for a remap.
The guy test drove it said it felt very flat, as if the tubby wasn't coming in at all.
(56, 2.0 Quattro, 67k)

Remapped and it feels lovely!
You can feel the turbo and it feels like I expected it would do in the first place.

Problem is now, every now and then, I get a flat spot. Mostly between 2k and 3.7k
Sometimes if runs lovely and there are no issues at all. Other times it hesitates and feels like it did before the map.

The mapper has offered to give my my cash back, alter the map, anything I want to do. So very flexible.
But I am pretty sure it is NOT the map that is at fault.

No errors on the VCD/Vagcom. All fine.
Replaced the MAF and no alteration at all.

Car has a full Audi service history. Taking it to them tomorrow to see what they say, out of interest.

My mechanic (who works on my T4) has recommended a place in Nottingham to look at it.
C&R...? Anyone heard of them or reccomend them?

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can try?

Had mine mapped fully and had a flat spot-hesitation under full load.

Ended up taking the map off and going back to standard - so much more driveable now!

Make sure it has had injectors replaced under warranty re call.

If he drove it and felt no turbo why the hell did he map it?
Mine goes like stink now

Thanks guys....

Yup, the injectors have been replaced under warranty by Audi.
And when I say "no" turbo, I meant very little power, he said it felt slower than the 140!

When I search for A3 hesitation, I find a lot of threads talking about fuel filters being replaced.
Any idea how hard this is to do?

easy but can be messy, filter is right behind the drivers headlight in that metal casing with pipes coming out the top

I had this problem when I had a 170. They tried all sorts but it was a mystery. I ended up having it removed and just went back to standard
