Hi,

Back in an Audi A4 after a bit of a break - this time a 2.0 FSI SE Avant as my daily runaround. Really pleased with it - full leather, one owner etc etc and drives nicely. I'd forgotten how much I like Audis!

I picked up some genuine S-line 5 spokes which look great on the car, but the tyres are going to need replacing soon. The alloys have 235/40/18 tyres but these seem pretty wide for a car that isn't particularly powerful or sporty....was just wondering what peoples views are - best to stick with this size or should I consider 225/40/18?

Thanks

All A4's with 18" wheels left the factory with 235 width tyres, some people fit 225's to save money or 'stretch' the tyres a bit, but it's not what Audi intended.

235 will look best 225 are a little cheaper but not by much

I'm in the same boat at the moment, going for 235/40 with XL ply should be sound for towing then too, 225/40 on 8j rims doesn't look as pot hole friendly
