Which is the best service oil for s3 8P?

Best answer to this is information from Opie Oils , Tim & Guy 'oilman' .

They have had lab oil analysis on various such Ester Racing oils of customers samples .

These oils do contain 10-20% top group 5 oil basestock esters but don't know how far an improvement over a 504.00 oil because 504.00 does have ester in it , one of the reasons why it's one of if not the best manufacturer oil spec available .

Because it's so high and is keeping my vunrable PD camshaft happy I wouldn't bother with an Ester Race oil unless your S3 was going around a track .

As with most things, unless you are an expert on the topic then you seek advice and do research.
For me, I had read plenty of recommendations for Millers oil in my S3, and prior to taking my car to R-tech (regarded as one of the best TFSI Tuners in the UK) I followed their guide for ensuring my engine was as healthy as it could be:
http://r-techperformance.co.uk/2-0-tfsi-tuning/

For me, the advice of a well respected tuning company who know these engines very well was enough to confirm the recommended Millers oil.

The most commonly recommended oil for the TFSI engine is 5w30. Under extreme conditions on a stock un-tuned engine the 5w30 oil can become to thin and smoke a little causing the engine to burn oil. The usage of oil will become exaggerated once tuned, under extreme conditions after a good hard run its very common for the tfsi to smoke on idle from the tail pipes for a few seconds. To eliminate this issue we recommend only to use 5w40 oil Quantum Platinum or 5w40 Millers Nanodrive. If you are planning track days then the best option would be use the Millers 50 grade oil.

For the record, I did an oil and filter change at 140k miles and used Quantum simply because it was available when Millers wasn't, but my next oil change will be going back to Millers.

My mate had a Passat PD that went through 2 camshafts in under a month. Reason: The mechanic insisted that his oil from Motaquip was above spec and would be fine in a PD engine, despite me failing to convince him to use PD specific oil. Many hours and much money wasted on that engine.

The Millers type of triple Ester oil does not have VW approval but as I said earlier it is the recommended oil by 4 not just 3 of the most highly respected independent VAG garages I use in the U.K. if you want peace of mind use a VW approved oil.

I agree that some information on forums needs to be taken with a pinch of salt but it is up to you to make a decision. You obviously wanted information as you posted on here.

ok thank you all for inputs.

I've just made an order of three 2l bottles of Motul 300V 5W30.
hope it will be good.
as far as I know the car I have had regular service with castrol edge 5w30 oil.
just as recommended by VW.
I still thinking t would be beneficial for all of us if will have some proof from either Motul or Millers where they can assure us that their top products are above manufacturers specifications.

I do not want to promise this here, but I might try to email them to see what they gonna say about it.

wish you all safe journeys and lot of miles without an issues.

Ask Opie Oils , they should have that information through lab oil analysis .

As with engine oil everything isn't what it might seem , oil analysis doesn't measure the most important quality of oil film strength that prevents the #1 property of oil to prevent metal to metal wear .

Ingredients can be a balance , too much of a good thing can be adverse
( put an extra egg in the cake mixture ! )

I've got to be open minded that for whatever reason an oil with a manufacturer oil spec could be beyond that spec or any other spec for anti wear with incredible film strength .
