Good Morning all

I am after some help urgently....

The above fault code has appeared, When I am driving along the ESP light comes on the dash and the car starts to judder and lose power. I have to turn the car off and on a couple of times for the light to go off.

I have had a look on the internet for solutions but I have not come across any.

Can anyone help and let me know what's causing this?

Thanks

Dan

might be helpfull to provide a little more information

what car , which model , which engine , which gearbox

Some have reported replacing the injector harness cures the issue.......but that is from a quick search on google.

New air mass meter should sort that out fella.

Thanks for the replies, I am confused why the AFM would flag up a ESP light?

Abs ECU needs a load signal for the esp, this is taken from the engine air mass meter.

it will be one of the two suggestions above
i changed the wiring harness in the wives a3 130 sport and this cured the problem
new harnesses from dealers are around 70-80 quid

I replaced my AFM over the weekend and the problem is still occurring, looks like I will need a new injector harness!?!

HELP...... I fitted a new injector harness yesterday and the problem is still there. Any ideas? Faulty Injector?

I would love to know if you found the source of this fault, I have the same fault code and symptoms, I had 2 injectors replaced, swapped out the injector wiring harness and MAF sensor with used parts, but ****** light still comes on every few hundred yards! I'm just about out of patience and money. Any help appreciated

Check your MAF sensor and your 02 sensor, I have the same issue replaced the engine already an now its doing the same as your car. did a scan and it says
18265 - Load Signal
P1857 - 35-00 - Error Message from ECU

I've read changing the sensors will fix this. another possible cause can be a low Battery.
