A3 8P Bose Amplifier

Hey guys!

I've got a 2004 Audi A3 2.0TDi Sport 3-door with the Bose system but with no amplifier... I've rung up Audi and they said I need the '8P3 035 223A' amp. Are these amps universal? E.g. would I be able to get a different Bose amp from a different 8P chassis or do I specifically need to get the 8P3 035 223A amp? I've found some good deals on eBay for amps but none of them are the specific part number I need.

I'm a little lost. To the best of my knowledge it isn't possible to have Bose without having the amplifier in the rear quarter. The whole point of Bose is that the system is amplified external to the Head unit? Along with better quality speakers etc etc.

Sorry I didn't really make it clear! It did have Bose but there's no sound at all at the moment because the Bose amp has been stolen Well, I bought it without an amp.

Thanks guys. Would an 8P0 035 223A amp fit it? I've just been offered a good deal on one. Otherwise does anyone on this forum have an 8P3 035 223A amp that I could buy?

Is 8P3035223 for only bose system? Can i use it to amplifier rear door speakers w/o Bose?

I've suddenly lost all sound so I changed my 8P3 035 223 A for a 8P3 035 223 B but no avail, so. I'm going to try the A version to see if that works, if not I'll change the head unit, failing that I'm at a complete loss!?

Check there is power to the amp. If not then your speakers won’t work.

I was getting 12V to the Amp.... Turns out if was the headunit was at fault.... also a fella from facebook told me that they are interchangeable as he has tried!
