on my previous a4 i could press 2 buttons together so that when i altered the tempreature on the drivers side,the passenger side would change at the same time,is it possible on the B8?

On mine, if I push and hold the drivers' temp control button, it synchronises both, and both are then controlled by the drivers button.

Mine is through the MMI, on my A3 it was holding the 'AUTO' button down...

This actually depends on which "auto" button you press. If you press the passenger side "auto" the nthe passenger temp adjust adjust boths sides, if you choose to press and hole the drivers side then the drivers side adjusts both.

I choose to have the passenger side be the sync'd master as its easier for me to press the temp buttons and the left hand side.

whether its the auto button or temp button that may dependant on the B8 but its usally beeth the "auto" button on past models.

Tried this at lunch and it worked - learn something new every day!

This is pushing in the dial, not pressing the Auto button.
