Q5 2015 Audi Q5 engine failure

I have a 2015 Q5 TDI. Engine failed at 61,000 miles. Metal found in the oil circuit. Is this normal? It's out of warranty and the dealer, and apparently Audi corporate, are like "too bad", that will be $20,000 to fix. I am in SHOCK!! Is this happening to others out there?

Not known, if there's metal something has failed, either prematurely or through lack of servicing. I would look up you rights as a consumer but looks like you could be across the pond, so not so familiar with your laws...
