With 6000 miles on the clock I get a low oil level warning when I took the missus into work this morning.
MMI says I need to top up with a maximum of 1l of oil and show the oil level at the minimum mark.
Is this normal for an Audi?
I have owned a lot of cars in the past including a gas guzzling 4.0 straight 6 Jeep and have never had to top up oil after only 6k miles unless there was a mechanical problem. This is 6k miles from new ! Only bought the car last October.........

Not on a facelift A5. The 2.0TFSI on A5's from 07-11 are notorious for it, and lawsuits in the US and shaming from Watchdog has finally forced Audi into admitting its a fault and they are now, rather belated, finally accepting to do the repairs for free even outside warranty. No mechanic but believe it was to do with the pistons.

Shouldn't be happening on your 2015 one. I've just come up to 6000 miles in my S5 and it hasn't touched the oil. Get it booked in.
