Unless you confirm part number is same or superseded too, then C7 wasnt a a wise.choice.

Need part number as I advised.

I’ve just looked up that part number on AUTODOC and it shows as being for A3 8p1 and various A4’s. Strange.

The door locks on the C6 were used on many different models, a3, a8 and even the r8.

I know. Just saying that it wasn’t listed as being compatible with a c6 or c7. I have my c6 saved in there and it and it says not compatible with, but lists the above models.

This is the drivers door lock out of my RHD 2008 S6 Avant (so offside right side)

18bebc5d905b46886cb99237c0c1c804.jpg

Part number is 4F2 837 016 B. I replaced mine with 4F2 837 016 E

The other side is 4F2 837 015 E.

Hope that helps

Unfortunately Autodoc and most other websites are not that accurate. This is the list of all the models 8J2837015C is used in. Also that part number is not listed for the 4F models just the later 4G (C7)

That lock was only used on the A6. Does your car have keyless entry?

Or you could replace just the faulty el. motor inside the door lock, it costs around 2USD. I did it on my car two years ago and it still works
