Apologies in advance for the lengthy post, I just feel it helps to add a bit of backstory and include as much detail as possible.
So the issue I'm having arose shortly after fitting a "Dutchbuild" haldex controller, now this is not a traditional competition haldex controller which would replace the stock module, this actually retains the stock unit and is installed inline between the car and contoller. Also before installing on the car I updated the firmware to the latest version and downloaded the latest version of the app.
Anyway moving on to the issue at hand, I installed the inline controller on Monday and drove the car monitoring the haldex bias with the software app on my phone and everything seemed to be working fine. To start with I left it in passthru mode which means the inline controller does not alter the signal going to the haldex module so the haldex will behave as it would completely stock. I also tested the lock function and that seemed to work perfectly well too keeping the bias locked in 30/70, 40/60, 50/50 as I selected.
Fast forward to Tuesday, driving home from work I thought I'd give the car a bit of a blast and watch the bias as it changed in real time on the app in passthru mode as I wanted to monitor stock haldex bias behavior before creating my own bias maps as it were (for track use mostly). At first no problems but then I started getting a lot of wheel spin in all gears and the esp light was flashing at me, also noticed the bias showing on the app was no more than around 97/3 even at wot in low gears.
So I scan the car, stupidly I didn't autoscan and save straight away but I had several faults indicated on the ABS, AWD and CAN gateway modules for AWD module, powertrain databus, diagnostic interface for databus, transmission control module (no communication), engine control module (implausible signal). Having done some googling and from talking with dutchbuild themselves it was suggested the CAN gateway needed to re-evalute the network and in order to do this I should recode it with the original coding. I did this and it cleared all the faults bar 2 on the AWD-22 module for transmission control unit and engine control unit. Obviously with the car being a manual the transmission code was odd, so I attempted to recode the AWD module as was suggested in this thread https://forums.ross-tech.com/showth...it!-Need-Help-Recoding&highlight=haldex+01315. Unfortunatley this had no effect even when changing the wsc to non zeros, I also cycled the key after every coding attempt but as soon as I clear the codes on that module they reappear straight away. So I removed the inline controller and carried out another full scan, this time only 1 fault on AWD-22 for 01315 transmission control module fault but again I am unable to clear it without it immediately reappearing. That scan is here
So the question is why is the haldex still looking for a tcu especially since it is back to stock? I have looked in the CAN gateway installation list and auto trans is not checked. What do I need to do next?
