2009 B8 Avant central locking issue

Hi All,

Picked up my first Audi yesterday. Really pleased with it but have noticed that when I unlock the car the rear passenger door won't open.
I can unlock from the inside and it then works fine until i use the fob to lock the car again, next time I unlock I'm in the same boat.

It's only this door. All other doors work fine.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? I presume it's the control module as the mechanical functions are okay.

I don't have VCDS yet.

Car has a 3 month warranty so hopefully ca get sorted under this.

I'm struggling with same thing right now on my 2009,
Except it's the front passenger door

Getting a new key of audi on Wednesday and addressing the door problem from there as ive not got a fob at the moment

From what ive heard people have fixed the problem by taking the door card off and messing around but if you got warranty you should be good

Yeah have done some searching and understand that the door probably needs to be stripped down but wanted to see if this a common problem and what part is causing the failure so I can ensure its replaced.

This...had mine go on rear door, exactly the same symptoms, about £200 to fix but got it done under warranty

Yep. Door lock module. Super common.
