2005 Double grill to Single grill HELP!

Hi,

First time posting. I've a 2005 A3 with the double grill and I'm looking to convert the front to a single grill.

Is this possible without changing bumpers? I can see id have to cut the section between both grills out which I've no hassle with but are there any grills on the market to give it the single grill look?

You need to change bumper, and probably more things. I had the same question and its expensive so i didnt do anything

From 2003-2005 to 2005-2008, it's bumper and bonnet.

Black tape or paint on the bottom bar of the top grille, then 2 chrome strips joining the top one to the bottom one!
I did that as a temporary solution while looking for a bumper and bonnet.... 4 years ago, been that way ever since!

T8DPR, where did you buy the chrome strips? Looks good on your profile pic and i fancy trying it on my double grille to freshen it up.

I did order it from aliexpress, its 1eur for few meters

got mine from ebay, I don't remember how wide it was but 7mm springs to mind, cost me a quid.... and another quid for an a4 sheet of yellow tint film for the fogs
