My 05.5 A4 has a constant whirring noise, it get louder the faster it’s driven. It doesn’t fall in line with the engine revving so I’m pretty positive about it not coming from the engine, but I don’t know where it’s coming from or what it could even be. I first thought it was the tires being worn down, but I just had new tires put on yesterday (10/13/2020) and it still persists.

It’s definitely mechanical, I can’t hear it coming from around the engine Bay Area, and it doesn’t get louder with the volume of the radio, just speed.
