2.8 30V starts turn of key when cold, but struggles when hot

Hey guys.

My avant starts literally with no need to touch the accelerator pedal..in the mornings, that is. Despite the weather.
However, after being driven until it reaches normal operating temperature, it struggles to start again.

on the 3rd attempt usually, and with the pedal halfway in.

I havent run a VAGCOM but what would the likely culprits be?

Faulty coolant temp sensor would be the first port of call.

Yep,would vote for that as well,so common problem on all VAG's.Regards!
