2.7 tdi loss of power

When pulling out of junction car just loses all power I have to dip clutch and rev it then it goes . Also when going I put foot down to overtake and again loses power for a bit then you can feel it gradually picking up to normal
Any help appreciated

There are no warning lights when this happens

Even though there are no fault lights illuminated I would still check for fault codes. Check the DPF to make sure it's not partially blocked. You can see DPF pressure readings and it's status on VCDS. Could be boost leak, check all the boost hoses from the turbo through the intercooler back to the engine.
Look for wet oily patches on the hoses.

Don't know if mine has dpf it is 57 reg 2.7tdi

Had local garage scan car and came back with 00257 he said something to do with air flow metre. Would this cause the problem
