Doing some odd jobs today and noticed the egr valve has soot all around it as per the pictures. I guess the diaphragm may be shot ?
The question is, do I delete altogether or source a replacement part ?
A few weeks ago I plugged the vac line but the car threw a dash light after a few miles so I'm not sure how to get past that. I don't want to remap and delete the egr out as I'm trying to get the car running A1 first before tuning etc. Has anyone tried reducing the egr cycle on VCDS after a delete to eliminate a fault code or other suggestions, and if so, how do I go about it ?
