Hi Guys, just joined the forum and I am looking for some advice.

I recently bought an 2009 A4 B8 2.0 TFSI Quattro from a used car dealer, the car is totally stock as far as I am aware. I am having some issues with it namely it keeps going into limp mode under persistent load i.e. climbing an incline. It also sometimes does it if you rev it beyond 4K at full throttle, and generally feels quite flat in the higher rev range. Had a friend scan it with VCDS and it came up with the following faults:

5670 - Boost Pressure Regulation P0234 - Limit Exceed (Overboost Condition)
5671 - Boost Pressure Regulation P0299 - Control Range Not Reached

Having a quick read online suggests this is a problem with sticky vanes on the turbo. I have taken it back to the dealer, however they are saying the turbo is not a VNT type but is electronically controlled? They are going to apply a software update which they have requested from Audi. They were a bit wishy washy with the details.

Can anyone confirm the turbo type on this car, I know it's an IHI make (part number?).

Can anyone suggest what the issue with the car could be?
