2.0 tdi Manual SB quattro What faults to look for?

Hi guys ,The misses wants an A3 now and after looking for ages ,We have found a low mile 2006 2.0 tdi Quattro thats got a manual gearbox .Are there any common faults we should look for ?

You shure its a tdi quattro ? They never sell a 2.0 tdi quattro here...can be retrofitted but it's not a easy job !

2.0 tdi sportback quattro's were available from 2005.

Noisy diff/prop at 2200RPM, one I owned for 5 hours suffered from this.

Then the usual things you'd normally check on a 140 TDI, such as, service record, PD oil been used? Unusual turbo whine, flywheel chatter, juddering on idle.

Sorry mate, been thinking about the longitudinal platform, the a3 is far from "quattro " with it's Haldex diff...

That post makes no sense!!! The S4 does have "proper" Quattro, the A3/S3 uses Haldex. OP is on about the A3 Sportbacks.....

^^^Missprint ! I meant a3 uses Haldex, only longitudinal platforms use Torsen diffs s4 beeing one of them ! Sorry...
