2.0 tdi (bkd140) exhaust centre silencer/resonator remove?

Sorry if this is this in the wrong place/already been covered! Tried to research it but couldnt find much info on the subject.

I'm planning on cutting on the middle exhaust silencer and welding a straight pipe in its place, wondering if anyone has done it or can tell me it's a bad idea!?
I have the correct diameter mild steel pipe to hand for free so it's really a case of not wasting my time/ruining my exhaust!

I had the center box and backbox taken off mine.... no issues after 20k

I have had my back box removed and plan to get the middle taken out to no problems just sounds more throaty

Any sound difference or noticeable power inprovements, More Responsive?

With stock turbo there is no difference to power at all.
With a good tune they make 195hp with stock exhaust.
