My 2.0 Ultra is due it's first service and oil change in a couple of months

Have just been quoted £416.16 by Audi Halesowen, just curious as it what others have paid

Our A6 Ultra has just had it's first service including oil change and pollen filter. We paid £285.

The mileage was 19,000. What is the mileage on yours

mines on 16k now, just booking ahead for when it will hit 19k in december

was that from a main dealer?

i've been on servicepoint and got a price of just over 100!

I paid £120 from my local Audi dealer, but did supply my own oil and filter (genuine parts from TPS) not paying the prices Audi charge for oil.

I always Supply my own oil, and if you look on eBay there are a number of very reputable sellers that simply cannot be beaten.

The price difference is huge. My last S7 service, oil cost (eBay) £90 (Audi) £silly money - think they wanted £60 a litre PLUS vat.

My eBay oil is always Quantum Long Life III.

got them down to £320, i'm waiting for a price match from Halfords Autocentre to hit them with

shouldn't have to do all this running around!

in terms of service history if i give my car back under PCP the service history to me is irrelvant

i kept my last A6 for 100,000 miles with FASH and it's only worth something if you sell privately

interestingly in terms of supplying the parts myself, Audi have point blank refused to give me the part numbers

Ask tom in parts for price of service parts

fixed prices here only apply after 3 years

i've booked it into halfords using OE parts for £120

Although might be taking it to Audi after all, gave them a mouthful today so service manager is ringing me tomorrow

I can get it done at VW cheap but it’s inconvient

My mate has got a Bentley, he's taking it to Kwik Fit for a service because he is tight too, lol.

To be honest any monkey can do an oil change, just seems If said monkey is an Audi employee the labour rate and time doubles

an oil change is a 1 hour job, Audi are charging 2 at around £120 an hour

i can get it done at VW for £40 plus parts @ cost... just means taking a day off work

to be honest if Audi's aftersales service doesn't pick up I won't be buying another car from them and the A6 can go back early

On mine i paid £425 at a very well respected porsche specialist for engine and box oil and filter, brake fluid, fuel filter, pollen filter and an inspection. Audi wanted 1200 without the brake fluid.

40k mile / 3 year service.

I can't believe people think you will get a good service at audi. 2 dealers damaged or did something wrong to my RS4 4/4 times so i don't trust them with my lowly A6 diesel

can`t get thicker than a kwik fit fitter.

why not use a trusted local garage or a specialist??? don`t like Halfords or kwik fit ive spoken to some of the monkeys there. Tbh though its the apprentice that will do the simple oil change. Most places suck the oil out through the dip stick which I also don`t agree with

My car doesn’t have a dip stick ;)
You have the tube for it. I bought a proper stick because the mmi gauge is useless

Mmi says it’s full if it blows up audi can replace the engine

Wait there, i'll just get my violin.

When your car is over 3yrs old or over a certain mileage like mine, currently 120k miles, then they have a different price plan that you need to ask for.

My last 2 services was oil service only with filter and a full inspection with a fixed price of £199 allin. I then go to TPS to buy a genuine air and pollen filter to fit myself, which takes less than 10 minutes.

Job done.

yes i'm aware of the over 3 year fixed price, i'm annoyed they double this for new car owners!

i've sorted myself a deal now though :)
