1999 S3 headlights

hi all, ive got a few problems with the s3 i got last friday, the lastist problem is, when i turn the head lights on all the lights go dull on the dash, its like the lights are draining all the power, then the car wont start, its happened every time ive put the lights on, its like the immobilers sticking on when u turn the lights on, turn the key and nothing happens, its startes again after a few times locking and onlocking it. is a 1999 s3, but i think the front lights have bin changed, cus there the 1 peace with the flashers built in, i think the front head lights should have septered indcatiors in a 1999 s3?, im worried next time i turn the lights on it wont start atall.. thanks in advance

Yeah mines 2000 reg S3 and 2 part lights.

na m8, car wont start if i turn the head lights on, got to lock and unlock a few times, its like the head lights are messing with the alarm and imm,,,,,.

Cheak your battery connections,earth and live.

Battery... wiring... poor earths... check under the battery tray as the earths start there...
