Well still trying to sort out me damaged rim from a few weeks ago with no ideal solution from a repair point of view that will bring the rim back to as new condition, also my 18" tires will need replacing very soon now so seriously contemplating a change up to 19" rims now.
As much as i really like my 9 spoke 18" rims and that they look great on my avant i cant help thinking that this is just one issue of what may turn out to be in long run an expensive set of repairs over the winter period and beyond.
Diamond finish is great but its seems to require so much care , even the slightest scratch will be the start of pealing laquer etc.
So i on the lookout for something that may possibly be a replacement set.
found these great looking rims , and they look nice in black but even better in the gunmetal, anyway i was curious as to weather anyone has tried them or has them fitted to there A4 B7, it would be nice to get any feedback positive or negative about them before i take things further.

What's wrong with the 18 inch wheel mate I know a amazing wheel repairer in Birmingham

Great looking wheels, had diamond finish wheel before and nether again even sent two back and they went the same within a couple of years they were shot due to weather.
Have to say i like the black

I love the wheels i have and with the diamond finish they do look nice against a black avant, but so far i have had a shed load of different wheel specialist and repair services look at it and they all have all said a recut is a non starter due to the depth of the damage , well not really the depth that is the problem , if recut it will remove a fair bit of alloy and the pattern and shape of the rim will be lost, and it will also cost stupid money just to end up with a rim that looks different to the rest.
so as much as it pains me i am thinking on a early change to something as above.
I too like the black version but against a black car it may be too much, hence why i was leaning towards the other colour.

They're a bit too JDM looking for me personally, how about just getting the damaged ones repaired then powder coated in a nice colour and forgetting the diamond cut?

If i could source a good set of 19" 9 spoke rims at a sensible price, and i do mean a good set that are unmarked then that would be my prefered route and use with new rubber, if i need to get my current ones all repainted (£350-£ 400) + new 18" rubber all round or a used set of 19" 9 spoke rims Approx £300 then get them refurbed another £350 - £400 + 19" rubber allround then its all getting a bit mad cost wise.
its all doing my head at present.

£350-400 to repaint?!? Shop around, that's crazy money for a refurb!! I've a choice of 3 powder coaters in my area who would do them for half that inc tyres on and off.
Why new 18" tyres? You've only had the wheels a short while. Shop around for somewhere that does refurbs for a sensible cost and keep existing tyres?

all the 4 tyres are getting very low now as i've been doing a lot more miles than normal so thats part of the equation.
not sure where you chap but down this part of the country wheel refurbs are stupid money, any thing with the word powder coat involved and its £80 a wheel on average......

living in surrey is a very costly state of affairs mate, may well just ship them up your way to get them sorted out.
cheers

Lee where in Birmingham can you get them done for £80 there o et the Xmas period could do with getting mine done

can you recomend thim lee, if so it would be cheaper for me to get them sent up and done at those low prices.

I can highly recommend them! Had my rims on my last motor done there in gun metal grey with a sparkle added for effect, they looked mint!!

Just sent them an email gonna see if I can get in this week if not on the 29th when I'm back if holiday. Robbing bastxxds down south quoting me nearly £350 for the same job.

i told you things are stupid prices down here.....
