Has anyone put LED, whiter or brighter bulbs into there foglights?
Since my S3 is equipped with xenons and I have changed the side lights for LED items, the fogs look yellow when they are on, so might aswell change them aswell.

I got mine from Demon Tweeks. So someone like Halfrauds should be able to sort you out.

Look for the Ring or Osram bulbs.
 
fog lights i never put mine on and I hate it when ppl drive round with them on the w4nk"£s.


ok just reread this a bit harsh must have been that shitron paxo that tried to follow me with the fogs on this morning. I can see why uprating the bulbs might help as they are utter u/s otherwise
 
Hi Jojo!

Can't believe this post, you were reading my mind! I have the LED sidelights and the Xenons and thought the creamy/yelllow foglights was a quite disappointing! I went for some Ultra White Xenon bulbs (H7) from an Ebay seller but altho they were significantly brighter, didn't yield the desired effect. Last week, I placed an order for Philips Bluevision Ultra which are meant to be very good and provide the effect I want. I'll let you know...they were very cheap, £20.00 delivered compared to around £30 looking on other websites and they won an Autocar group test. The bulb options are the only road legal way of getting the white light altho I am considering modifying a conventional H7 backing and fitting it to a 24 LED white tail light which provides very bright white light (i have these for my reverses), not sure how easy or difficult this would be.

Lastly, I would consider retro fitting a HID H7 kit altho space is limited and it will not pass an MOT connected.

You say the Foglights are H7?

Hmm, i have an H7 Xenon kit, maybe i could install these into the fogs? How cool would that be? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
 
Cool, antsS3, keep me posted... also, I did think about using LED lights for the fogs, but was afraid of the heat build up, as they run quite hot, along with HID kits.
 
I've just swapped my H7 fogs and now they are white (to match the Xenons).

I got them from "precious-parts" on Ebay ( Their Ebay Store They are 4350K so a good colour match. They're not expensive and delivery was really good. I'll now ordered some matchin main beam bulbs from them.

p.s. What LEDs do you have fitted? Have you modded them with a resistor?

I just changed my headlight bulbs with PIAA Extreme Blue. They are comparible to HID's in color and brightness! They were not cheap at £75, but they are the closest thing to HID you can buy without getting HID!
