Stereo upgrade - No BOSE

I'm thinking about upgrading the stereo at some point on my Non-Bose car. Anyone got any recommendations?

A few members have done this over on the s3 8p section ,also there is a thread about putting an ipad on the dash ,but it would need a full new dash to adapt the ipad...

How about fitting an amp for all speakers (non-Bose has the front speakers connected directly to the RNS-E) and replacing all the speakers with better quality aftermarket ones that still fit behind the existing speaker grilles so it's totally stealth?

Thats what Im looking to do, just need to find a decent hi-fi shop!
