Hello

Is This Mesearment { 18 x 8 } { Et-40 } { 5x112 } { 215 x 40 x 18 } For The Alloys+Tyres Will Fit My Audi a3 2.0 Tfsi sportback 2005
for the front and read same mesearment

Without Causing rubbing or Arching
Alloys Wheels Brand : BBS £1050

if there any other mesearment that will fit without problems would like to know please

:blackrs4:

I think ET40 would cause rubbing issues (if wrong, somebody correct me)!

Im running 18x8 ET43 and could say its milimeters away from rubbing. Normally on 8J wheels you would want ET45+

thank you persian for your assistance as i know i need et45 just cant find et45 on bbs thats i liked
8j for front and back will be oky ?
normaly people use 225/40/18 but im thinking to go for 215/40/18
any idea
cheers

I think with a 215 you maybe okay.

Im running bbs ch et50 8j on 225/40 tyres with 10mm spacers so more like et40, and im quite low. The back catches over big bumps however.

I have just posted a thread about stretched tyres and whether they last as much or wear out quicker? so hopefully a reply to that would also give me an idea too for future references.

In your case I think ET40 8J would be fine for the rear and with 215 rubber your fronts should also be ok as mine is on 225 tyres up front ET43 and doesn't rub unless i go extreme low up front (lowered 45/50mm at the moment).

In fact my brother is running {18x7.5 ET54 + 30mm spacers} which I think makes it {18x7.5 ET30} and it rubs only a tiny bit? So overall i think the BBS you found should be ok, but wait for the more experienced members to respond also and correct me anywhere I was wrong.

Best of luck

Persian if your brother is running 30mm spacers iit will make them et 23, each mm of spacer you put on lowers the et by 1!

For example if you have et50 and you put on a 10 mm spacer it will make them et40 or with a 15mm spacer et 35 :)

i didnt lower my car at all still same will thats help ?
many people says 18*8 5*112 et45 with 225*40*18 they dont make any rubber or arching
lol dont know what to believe

Think you'll have to just go for it mate!

Where you getting the alloys from? I'd like a set of 3sdms

ill get them from germany my friend will bring them to me
but not sure about the mesearment to be fit correct
