17inch alloys best tyre spec

I'm going on a long road trip, bought some really cheap 17'' O.Z without tyres. I wanted 16'' but they don't clear the S3 brakes. Never fitted 17inch alloys before, what is the highest profile I can fit? The car is lowered on eibach lowering springs 50/40mm. I don't mind at a bit of rubbing over bumps.

Alloy spec: 17 inch, 7.5j, 50 offset

215/50/17??

Any pictures of 17inch lowered would be much appreciated.

stock size on Audi is 225-45-17 why would u want to run something different ?

I've got standard 17inch Sport alloys on mine ready for selling. AP coilovers lowered as low as possible and tyres are 225 45 17.

Been stood for 2 months not doing anything so is stupidly dirty but can take some pics if you want? May be tomorrow morning before I get chance though.
