Tradesmen, especially roofers.
I contacted 5 roofing companies; 2 never replied, 2 said they would phone me back, never did and 1 arranged a date and time to view the job and never came, gave me some bs excuses.
All these companies were listed on one of those "trusted trader" groups. Haha
They all must be far too busy making loads of money elsewhere.

Exactly as you say Alistair the good ones are busy (decorator we use is booked 6-8 months ahead but worth waiting for) and it also encourages poor quality ones to trade too, and let people down.

A complimentary carwash from the dealer that isn't mentioned while booking the car in for a recall.... thanks for using a traffic film remover and stripping my recently applied ceramic coating straight off! A goodthing it was a DIY job because if I had paid a company to do it they would've had a very angry client on their hands...

Anyway it's sorted, the work for the recall was excellent apart from them washing the car.

Hate this as well, including being told it's a legal requirement by a 12 year old sales guy. Considered having a set of "lipped" plates made up with the text "Never buy a car from [insert dealership here]" at the bottom

This week I have increased my “shut the f up” meter to all those political plebs going on about how good/honest/capable their party is. They are all the same and couldn’t run a bath, can’t wait until one of those knob jockeys comes to my door.
I am keeping my vote for the Fresian Cow in the field behind my house, we will call her Betty, and at least the sh!!e comes out of her bottom and not her mouth.
I’m off for a cup of tea and a digestive waiting in anticipation for the knock on the door.

Nothing I hate more than ordering a part just to get it cancelled because they used an old picture... than ask if I still want the part with a crucial part missing... yeah no thank you return my money and thank you for false advertising... now have to wait for my money to be returned this week.... they take it the same day but the refund process is ridiculous... 3 to 5 days wait? Why some admin BS that really gets my backup... if you borrow money you should be paying interest if it's not returned immediately. Because that is exactly what this is... but no it's allowed by law.

The ongoing dispute with the same neighbour

I’ve mentioned him before and all has been well for 2-3 years but he’s starting up again, but I’m a lot calmer now since studying about emotional intelligence at work so for the moment I will do nothing.

But a different neighbour has some sort of study group at their house once a week but now it’s twice a week but of course they all park on my driveway (see previous posts) so this has gone on a year but the last 3 months I’ve been interrupting the group and telling them they need to get off but I’ve said it nicely and it’s not sinking in. So 3 weeks ago when I knocked I said how are we going to resolve this as I’m getting annoyed now and you’re just ignoring me on purpose, they said sorry and actually bought us wine as an apology so all good and currently parking is fine. Now the neighbour that hates me and wants me to drop dead heard they the whole discussion unknown to me and apparently he wasn’t happy. Now my wife works at her own unit in the road behind us so this little idiot on Friday went in there with hump and kicked off about me, and said that anyone should be able to park on our driveway? She asked why ours can be used but the rest of you it’s for your own personal use? Also why do you dictate to us what we can and can’t do on our property. He apparently called me names and then stormed out

My wife only told me last night and yes I want to go and have words with him but she’s right there is just no point as he is so dumb and just a nutter. He texted her sorry but she’s ignoring him and told me to keep away from him. But I’m telling you this guy hates me so much you would think I killed his first born

It’s that bad I had a meeting this week with my councillor on my road to show them how bad it was and that these holes were here long before covid.

at least they are coming to asses the situation and hopefully repair it asap... ps it won't last but better if they patch them up for now and schedule a complete resurface of your street after the cold weather. and with a resurface i mean scrape it off, reinforce the base and lay a new smooth road surface. It can't be that hard, the rest of Europe knows how to do it right, why can't it be done properly here in the UK?

We’ve recently half (length not width )of local road resurfaced that didn’t really need doing compared to the other half that really did need doing ,im convinced it was to save the hassle of rerouting a bus

People who blame others for their mistakes.
I have an Administer who blamed us for not doing something he said was put on a spreadsheet on a certain date. He didn't know, or didn't think we knew, there is a "change history", which clearly showed he put it on later.
I wonder what excuses there will be???

So another neighbour on and off for almost 2 years has a lot of house guests every Monday and Thurs night for 3 hours (I swear something kinky is going on) but of course as I have a big driveway they all think they can use it. I’ve been mr diplomatic and knock when these weird events happen and tell them to move. So the patch of no man’s land I’ve told all my tenants to use if they can’t get parked because of mr selfish isn’t listening when he has his weird parties. But now mr selfish is moaning about it and wants to meet up in the new year to discuss the parking , ok mate but no way am I going into your P Diddy house!!!! See you in the pub

Then last night the poison dwarf was winding me up and I’ve told the Mrs I’m not playing nice anymore. So I share my recycle bin with my tenants and if they follow my plan the bin usually doesn’t fill up. I caught dwarf filling my bin with his shizzle on my ring doorbell. Mate if you’ve filled your bin up then don’t use mine, plus you absolutely hate me so what makes you think you can use my stuff and I’ve told not to step foot on my property!! I chucked what I could into his front garden

inconsidered neighbour that comes home late in the night and decides to blast music,knowing full well that i am asleep. his girlfriend turns it off and tells him it's to early for that noise, he tells her off in a very rude and loud way, so loud infact that it sounded like he was shouting in my house, and ends by saying, he doesn't give a $hit, and turns the noise back up to a level where i just want to go and kick his face in... anyway. Nice one mate, you do you.... I'll wait for the day you need my help again... I'll respond the same way.

you should be happy with whatever you get as a gift, someone spend time and money to get you something, if you want socks and some kegs get them yourself it's what I would do, at least you know you get the right stuff

Ok so I think me and mr selfish have officially fallen out!!!!

So someone randomly was in my tenants space again on Saturday so he parked on the no man’s land. Mr Selfish gets home to his driveway later that night and his wife in the other car they own. Now although his driveway is very narrow you can get 2 cars on it, so she parks on it but he decides to park on my property then texts me at 12.30am to complain about my tenant and that he’s using my parking. I waited until the morning as I thought although you’ve woken me up but I’m not arguing with you now. So I texted and just said I’ve got better things to worry about and don’t be texting me trivial things after 10pm as this is the second time and you’re annoying me.

Now tonight my commercial tenants were working late so I had no parking when I got home and when that happens I park up the road out of courtesy to my neighbours, but I thought nah let’s be petty and park where mr selfish likes to park , I was hoping he would knock on my door when he got home but he didn’t. Just had a screw face looking at my car and went in his house

i hate the condensation in my headlights... somehow they let moisture in... keeping the small cover off helps keep them dry, but with this freeing weather they freeze on the inside... i submerged them and they don't let water in from the lenses... Time to add an extra vent to the housing or drill the drain hole a little bigger... thing is i don't really want to take the front bumper off in this weather.. so this will wait until the weather turns better.. it's so annoying since these headlights are the oem ones, yes i did joey mod them, but they where already fogging up every now and than but now it's worse... and this tells me the drainholes need to be made bigger, and an extra vent added to the headlights.
