oh no. g201 sensor!!

do you have facility with your vagcom to view the actual values of the brake fluid pressure sensor (the g201)?
is it stuck on like 215bar without you even pressing the pedal?

if the abs pump/unit is the type where the sensor's an integral part of the pump then its £££.
get it down to the dealer and throw a temper tantrum till they do it for free.

this is a very very very common fault.
 
if your out of warrenty, it used to be, 500-900 depending on how much contribution from audi.

but nower days theyve realised the fault and you can now purchace just one side of the abs pump relativly cheaply. and no need to code it in.

could you check that actual value to confirm? then you can go into the dealer and know all the facts.
 
for some history on the known fault, just google "golf touran g201" throws up all the relavent threads on all sorts of forums.

Seems me and Daz are living a near parallel experience.

Almost geared up to have my A3 in for a fix up. ABS repair Kit fitting for Brake Pressure Sensor G201. Just thought I'd see if I could get any further advice, especially from you Nige (great advice given before).

If you've tried doing any basic settings, removed battery power for 5 minutes, cleared the fault & its come back, then its the dreaded I'd say, as nothing else is faulting on that log.
