Facelift headlight switch - which is the one I need? (pic included)

Thanks for the thread.

It seems the ‘8J2 941 531 B’ is pretty rare, and when you eventually find one the price is inflated.

I was wondering if the Coming Home button is really necessary, could I not just enable it via VCDS and be done with it, or is the module still required?

Anyone know if the '8P2941531BB' model supports coming home feature?

Also, what's the difference between Auto and DRL? I currently have Auto lights fitted without chrome knob, so want to upgrade to the part above, but it says DRL instead. If I was to replace it with that one, would I use the Auto light functionality?

The BB revision you mention does not have the coming home button

Google image search the various part numbers or search eBay, there are many many versions

According to @Ash187 post, it seems the part can only be found from the TT model, and not an option on the 8P.

Just meant that, that particular part no doesn't come standard on the A3 and only on the TT, however can be retrofitted.
 
USA has rear fog. its just a coding option. people over here are so stupid when they see a bright light in back they think you are putting on the brake. some idiots have both rear fogs coded so even worse. AND people drive in clear skies at night with rear fogs on. God bless 'Merica
