130 to 150 turbo upgrade, why not?

I've been searching through old threads and found plenty of posts saying that you can't swap the 150 turbo on to the 130 engine but couldn't find an explanation as to why?

EDIT: you mean 170 turbo, there's no 150bhp diesel.

No, I mean 150 turbo, as in the PD 150 readily available in the rest of the VAG range

The gt1749va you have is separate from manifold, the gt1749vb has integral manifold and it hits the chassis leg- that's why you cannot fit it !
