12v In Boot ?

Can anyone tell me if it's permanently live or is it the same as the one in the front, i.e. comes on and off with the ignition?

Just checked mine, seems to only be on with ignition.

Don't quote me on this. But I heard it's the opposite and always on as someone said they used the 12v boot for their ice box and it kept it cool.

Somewhere on this forum there's a post which shows how to change the position of a fuse in the fusebox to enable the 12V sockets to be always on.

It's only on when ignition is on, I have my rear dash cam wired to it

Just checked mine to make sure only on with ignition, there is a way of making it live by an alteration in the fuse box as a forum member did just that.

I've moved the fuse in mine to get permanent 12v in the front. Dont have a socket in the rear of my car but would think it works the same there

Yes - I can also confirm that moving the fuse to the always on position gives live 12v in the boot
