12v electrical socket in boot

The 12v electrical socket in my boot is not working. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. Not sure what to check next? Anyone had the same problem? Thanks Adam

I assume you have tried the device in the other cigarette lighter port and or checked the fuse in the device itself, normally in the cigarette lighter plug to prove its working?

Or Is the socket powered by switched ignition live?

Mine is permanent 12v in the boot, but it may be model/ year specific.

Yes I have tried the same device in the car and it works. Tried it with the ignition on too, still doesn't work in the boot. I have swapped the fuses round aswel so it is deffo not the fuse. Not sure what to check next?

Do you use it a lot? What about checking the wiring/connector on the socket to ensure its got juice going to it? If it has then it could be the socket itself has broken through lots of use?

Never used it before just come to use it and it doesn't work! Yeah I'll get the multimeter on it and go from there. Looks a bit of a nightmare to take out though!
