Modified 2001 S3 (Pic Heavy)

Out of interest did you loose the ability to electrically control the glass in your wing mirrors when you fitted DTM style ones?

hello, yes i chose to ditch the electrics .. I havent had to move the glass in over three months so not an issue for me. And I got quite a nice wad in my pocket from selling the alloy ones

You know what I think of this car already mate. Purely stunning! Unique, and you've done it properly in my opinion.

Hey mate,

I think I saw your car at Brooklands Tesco a few weeks back, parked near the entrance? I was using my gf's 106 when we were visiting the area. Tidy car chum.

i do believe i was there around that time :) have to say i dont remember seeing a 106 tho !! ;-)

Love it.

Nicely done, and respect for doing what you wanted and not just doing what everyone else does.

thanks, obviously one opens themselves up for criticism when one does things outside the norm, but thankfully it seems to be going ok !!

Orgh very nice!!

Where did you get your rear lights from mate?

ooo now your asking :)

Lets just say i have my sources hee hee .. It is possible that I could supply a pair of the lights with the resistor kits and additional LED bulbs (indicator and reverse), i will have to see how much the package will cost if anyones seriously interested. I could also preinstall the bulbs and resistors leaving minimal work to fit them to the car, however i would feel more at ease if the buyer thoroughly checked the set-up before/after installing in case of any issues, the main one being that the resistors arent touching anything as they get damn hot !! I went through a lot of different indicator and reverse bulb options to find the right ones so it would certainly save someone else doing the trial and error bit.

I was tempted to leave a note on the car. You live around that area? would be good to meet when I'm down next chap.

The wheels set it off.

Need to play with the camera settings as you cant really make out the individual leds in the pic

Hi, dont tend to go that way too often, we were just visiting really.. When I feel the car is finished tho I would be more inclined to travel to meet up (not exactly sure when that might, if ever, be !!), cheers

Both of the sets of futuras (19+20") that i have are rarer than the preverbial .. The 19s are originally from a paramount performance xkr and the 20s are from an arden xkr (both specilist jaguar tuning companies), from what i can gather the 19" rims were custom made for the application hence no offset or dimensions stamped onto the rim :) Definately on the list of the rarest sets of rims in the world, as you say they are pretty much unheard of and find me another set !! ;-)
