I've noticed at night, there is alot of smoke from the back of the car. Looks grey at night. Never notice it in the day time.
But I just rev'd the car stood still and there is a big black sooty stain on the floor behind one of the exhausts.

What can cause it?

dodgy maf? giving incorrect fuel/air mix possibly is one option. my car does the same in the dark. Faulty injector how is it running?

Feels fine really and gets 45mpg on a run.
Maybe it could feel abit more powerfull. It has a tuning box, settings make no difference.

i had smoke from mine when the temp sensor had gone see it when i was parking most or pulling off

So the temp sensor (assuming you mean water temp) made a big difference?

They're the push fit material covered rubber hoses going between the injectors.

yes mate i had the temp sensor and thromostat done at the same time but mine was not getting to 90c around town but when done the smoking stoped was just a thought mate

The thermostat was done at audi about 1.5k ago, so that's fine. I'll try a new temp sensor.
Fingers crossed!
Cheers Simon.

Mines the same and the only fault on vagcom was the temp sensor so just fitted another and will look for the diff
