Hi All,

Is it possible to fit Ambient lighting to a 2010 a3 8p sport?

I like the mod but not sure if it is possible to my A3.

If anyone has carried out this mod and are pictures available for me to follow?

Thanks in advance!

did mine last week mate, trouble is finding the power points, wil take a pic when im in the car next, safe to say your better buying the facia plate with the holes in aswell as the module cos drilling it neatly is not easy at all, especially as the two LED's are offset from each other......

How hard is it to do yourself? And what was the rough cost?

LED that fits behind the overhead console costs £10 from the dealers. It connects via 2 spade connectors to which are fairly obvious when you remove the o/h console. I drilled two holes in my standard facia plate after careful measuring and it worked/looked great.
There is a guide on the internet somewhere + I took some pictures which I'll try and find. Very easy mod though.

Hope these help. I did it to my B7 A4 & my A3. Can't remember which car these pictures are from, but the o/h console appeared the same in both and all the connections were identical as I transferred the LED block from the A4 to the A3.

Sorry for poor picture quality. Unfortuantely I can't find the part number for the LEDs..... Drill bit used for holes was 6mm but I'd recommend drilling slightly smaller and testing as you can easily make the holes bigger.
