good morning all!
nice and sunny oop north today!
makes a change from all the fog of late!
was going to clean car but really CBA! that can wait to official car cleaning day which is sunday so i can get all the usual B.S from the neighbours! for example, 'you can do mine next if you want!', or 'oh, now it's going to rain if your cleaning that', and 'you will wash the paint off that if your not careful' :blahblah1:
to which i mutter under my breath, G.F.Y.
anywho, how are you all?

Morning all.

A damp and grey day here in the Saaaaf East, glad some of you oop North are seeing the sun!

No noise from the squirrels some I'm sure they're both gone. I'll get up in the loft for a damage assessment at the weekend and try not to poison myself!

leigh's engine is going sweet now.

iv settled right in to my new career, went from IT tech to Mechanic. im loving it big time cant beat getting oily with men all day playing with there spanners...

got a turbo for my golf going to get that done over the winter. that's going to be epic.

What's happening?

Apart from the squirrel great escape and Coatesy enjoying men.

SCCM training all week, which is kind of interest but like Coatesy I think I need to change my career.
 
Work work and more work at minute. Even in my days off I'm getting calls to sort things out 😡
No extra pennies for it either as managers don't get overtime 😭

Phone may end up getting turned off for rest of day.

Mate you need to ignore stuff, it's the only way managers realise. We've had ALL our overtime cut her so as soon as I've done my hours I just walk out. I won't answer the phone at weekends anymore either. This is the only way the managers learn.
 
LOL Leigh, i have been in this situation as well previously and I got told by one of the directors back then that I am masking a bigger problem of not enough resource by dealing with issues out of hours, so upon his recommendation, I stopped, the work built up and they got the message!!

I hate seeing backlogs of work as im a bit OCD like that, but it had to be done, as it seemed like I was the only one ever doing any work!!

Switch the phone off, get out and enjoy your time off :)

Oh and enjoy the training...lol!!

Cant believe its May already, another year older this month :(

It was my sisters wedding.

Mine is June.


It was a good wedding. Good to see the family and the fact that my sister is tall than her husband is funny.

Training is ok. Its the subject that does not spark any interest like before. Subject being IT as a whole.

Its funny how places react when people go or stop doing their normal workload.
Shame that people don't always notice though.
 
I'm being asked on a regular basis to evaluate, design, and implement new systems at the drop of a hat with no planning or project codes. I've told them to do one. We're running a business here not a charity. Get the customer to cough up and get a proper project raised!
 
Ahhh, i see! My sister in law is taller than her husband, it makes me laugh a lot too :) He hates it, as does she as she can never wear heels now too.
 
LOL...It was Scotts sisters as he mentioned, he still has a month of freedom left!!!

I aint tall by a long shot, but I got really lucky as my missus is even shorter than me, which was lucky.

We are short staffed but also part of the problem is I work in a team of managers and we are all specialists. So a lot of things can only be signed off by me.
Dealing with re franchise at the minute is a lot of things can't wait.

And I hate back logs too. If its a day to day task that someone else can do. They get told to do one. If its one of my things I kind of have to handle it.

I will make sure I get my time back at a later time tho. 👍

Just going out to wash the car, get the weeks gunk off it.

How's everybody's weekends going? I've been out in the garden today digging a new flower bed and trying to salvage my crappy lawn. Just stopped to have a beer and watch arsenal's last game of the season. I managed to sort out an FA Cup Final ticket on Friday so I can't wait for that match. It'll be a huge booze up too.

Spent the afternoon cleaning the interior in the b5. It smells like an old man's jaguar now, I love it.

Might do the brake lines tomorrow if I grow a pair of balls over night

Morning all, we all love a 4 day week hey???

Did you all have a good break?

I spent Saturday cleaning the inside of my car after months and OH what a difference it has made :)

Only downside was I did it at the in laws, so ended up doing their 3 cars as well!!

On the flip side, Birmingham have been saved from relegation, the snooker last night was awesome, I did want Ronnie to win, however Mark Selby played a good game and did well to win.

We visited Warwick Castle on Sunday, weather was really good and it turned out to be a nice day out.

Not a clue mate.
Normally a tikka masala, chicken mogul or some BBQ lamb dish he makes for me.
I've ordered a couple of things off menu but I can never remember what they are.

I'm trying to find the recipe for South Bengal Special. I normally have it at a restaurant we go to for work and its amazing but the owner seems a bit reluctant to let me have it.

What are you choices?
